"My almost 10 year old's face lit up when she saw Ms. Jen's face today. This will be the beginning of her third year at CCDC. She walks into CCDC with a sense of ease, as if she is returning home. It is a place where she feels a sense of belonging, where she is heard, seen, connected. Recently at CCDC they implemented a no cellphone policy and also sent out an email about recognizing Honor students. We are not at that stage where this would directly impact our children, however I can deeply appreciate they are cultivating a space where dancers can focus and have an identity, a self outside of being a dancer. I love the proprioception our kids are gaining from dance and that they get to do this in community." Faye
